In this article, we'll go through how to create a group within the Irys app
Please note: This is a premium feature and you must have a premium membership in order to create groups. If you're interested in premium, please see How do I sign up for a premium membership?
Lets get started!
What are groups?
Groups are collaborative pages you can set up usually centred around a specific style or niche of photography. Other people can join your groups and post in them. It's a great way to appreciate each others work!
1. Go to your Irys app > profile
2. Click "Groups" > "Create Group"
3. Add your groups details and photo.
- Group display name - This is how people will see it on the app
- Group Icon - This is the photograph that will display on your groups page
- Group handle name - e.g if my group is called "Bird photography", I might choose the handle "bird.photography"
- Description - What type of photography will this group focus on? who is it for? etc
- Invites - Invite people straight from here!
4. Set your posting limits
- Total entries - This is the maximum amount of images each individual member can upload during the life of the group.
Example. "Alan sets a limit of 3 photos under total entries. He uploads 3 on his first day. Alan can never post in that group again unless the settings are changed" - Daily entries - This is how many photos each member can post per day in the group. If a member has used up their total entries, the daily limit will stay at 0/0 until the settings are updated.
