Announcements are a feature available when you create a group on Irys. They’re designed to help you start conversations, share updates, or highlight important information with everyone in your group.
Think of them as a noticeboard that members can actually interact with.
How to post an announcement
Step 1
Go to your group and click the megaphone icon in the top-right corner.
Step 2
In the “Create new announcement” box, type your message and click the post icon.
Your announcement will be visible to all members of the group straight away.
Managing announcements
You can have multiple announcements running at the same time
Members can comment to discuss the topic or ask questions. You can delete comments by swiping left on them and pressing "Delete"
Important announcements can be pinned to the top of the group by swiping left on the announcement and clicking "Pin"
Announcements that are no longer relevant can be archived so they’re no longer visible. Next to the "Pin" option above, click "Archive"
This helps keep important information easy to find without cluttering the group.
